Dr. Nikita Sahadew

Dr. Nikita Sahadew is a podiatrist, clinical researcher, and founder of PodMed, a private podiatry practice based in Melrose North, Johannesburg. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where her research focused on diabetes surveillance and diabetic foot health in South Africa. She also holds a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci), for which she was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society in recognition of her academic excellence.

With more than a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Sahadew has developed a particular interest in diabetic foot care, lower limb biomechanics, sports injuries, custom orthotic therapy, laser therapy, and evidence-based podiatric medicine. She combines the latest clinical research with modern technology to provide personalised treatment that helps patients stay active, prevent complications, and improve long-term foot health.

Her passion is translating high-quality medical research into practical, compassionate care, ensuring every patient benefits from the latest advances in podiatry and diabetes management.

Gugu serves as the Practice Manager at PodMed, Johannesburg, South Africa. In her role, Gugu ensures the smooth operation of the clinic, overseeing administrative functions and coordinating patient services to maintain the high standards of care that PodMed is known for.

With a strong background in healthcare management, Gugu brings a wealth of experience to the team. Her expertise in practice administration and patient relations contributes significantly to the clinic's welcoming atmosphere and efficient service delivery.
